What is a Food Pantry?

Food Banks act as a grocery store of sorts for Food Pantries. Food Banks are like the wholesale part of the distribution while Food Pantries are like the retail side. A Food Pantry like ours is an independent community site that distributes food and other products directly to those facing hunger. We purchase food at a discount from our local food bank, and receive donations from local grocery manufacturers, retailers, and food drives. F.l.S.H. (Friends in Service Here) of the Santa Rosa Area operates the largest and oldest independent and emergency free Food Pantry in Sonoma County. It is 100% staffed by volunteers, including the Executive Director and a team of approximately 50 regular volunteers. Since 1972, F.l.S.H. has worked with the community to provide quality nutritious food to people in need. We absolutely count on donations to do our work.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
Our TAX identification is # 51-0159551
